கஞ்சி மாவு
Our recipe is unique and packed with high fibre and protein. It does not contain starchy ingredients which can increase sugar levels and is suitable for those who are diabetic. This is also a good beverage for children and those who play intense sport.
Ingredients: Whole Green Gram, Whole Sambha Wheat, Horse Gram, Finger Millet, Roasted Gram, Tapioca Flour, Dried Ginger, Cardamom, Carrom Seeds
TRADITIONAL KANJI RECIPE
Serving Directions (serves 4)
Step 1: Take one cup of water. Mix one tbsp of Thaligai Kanji Maavu.
Step 2: Simmer it until it comes to a rolling boil. Optionally add either 2 tbsp of milk and sugar to taste or for a more savoury variant, add half a cup of buttermilk.
TIP: Take half a cup of Thaligai Kanji Maavu, add 2 tbsp of warm milk or water, 1/3rd cup of powdered jaggery. Make it into small balls.
Extra TIP: For 1 cup of Thaligai Kanji Maavu, add 3 cups water, 2 tsp salt, a pinch of asafoetida, ½ tsp of pepper powder, ½ tsp jeera. Mix well. Keep aside for half an hour. Make into a healthy dosai.
